Sam lives in Alaska where the winter is very long. Sam loves to throw snowballs. He made a target and hung it on the side of his garage wall on which to practice his pitching aim. On the first day he hit the center of the target 2 times. On the second day he hit the center of the target 4 times. On the third day he hit the center of the target 6 times. If Sam continues to improve his pitching at this same rate, how many times will Sam hit the center of the target on day 10? How many times will Sam hit the center of the target on the 20th day?

You multiply x2 to each day and it gives you the number of the center shots.

    10×2=20 & 20×2=40

THE AWNSER FOR 10 DAYS IS 20 BECAUSE 2X10=20.

IN THE 20 DAY HE WILL HIT IT 40 BECAUSE 20X2=40.

First we looked at the patern in the story. Then we saw the patern was going by 2s. So we thought to multiply 10 times 2 and 20 times 2. So thats how we got are answer. “Oh” and the answer is 20 and 40.So are formula would be dx2 and 20xd.

    10×2=20
    20×2=40

On the tenth day, he hit the target 20 times because each day he is hitting the target 2 times. 10 X 2 is 20.
we made a chart so we could figure out how many times he would hit it each day.
on the 20th day he hit the target 40 times.
The rule is n X 2. n means whatever the day is and you multiply that times 2.

So we are counting by two’s so if you multiply 10×2 wich will give you 20. And if you multiply 20×2 wich will give you 40 hits.
so your answer for the exlimper is 20 and 40.
So we found this question by multipliying by 2’s.

We got the answer 20. here is how. if you keep going on for the multiples of 2 until 10, you will get 20 as your answer. For the second question, the answer is 40 because if you go till 20 by writing the multiples of 2, you will get the answer 40.

On day 10 he will hit it 20 times because 10×2=20

On the 20 day he will hit it 40 times because 20×2=40
