A Little About Me…
I will be teaching 5th grade Math and Science. This will be my 9th year to teach. I have taught:
2nd grade–3 years,
7th grade Math–2 years
4th grade–1 year
5th grade–on my 3rd year
While growing up in Wylie, TX, I took piano lessons from the age of 5 until 13. I love to 
sing, also! I was an athlete in high school and college (Volleyball, track and a little karate). I have 2 pets- one canine and one feline. Roxie is my dachshund mix of 10 years and Princy is my heinz 57 cat. Both animals can shake and speak on command. My cat will actually do more tricks than my dog. She is quite the talker and gets into mess at home! So, once my day is done with children, it has just begun with my animals! Believe it or not, I do have an X-box. I only play it about once a month. Since gaming can be addictive, I attempt to play in the summer or during a school break.

Ms. Key,
I am impressed by your blog. I got started on this route by going to inspiredclassrooms.net and to make a long story short that website has “inspired me”, causing me to learn more about blogging. I should be embarrassed to say I am a technology teacher but I have decided not to be (embarrassed) since everything I know now I have learned in the way of the “inspired classroom” . (It’s 10:15 and I am rambling) Anyway – the whole point to this- may I borrow your blog rules. They are to the point and say what I need them to say. I also plan to show other teachers in my building what you have done. I hope this is ok. I can only imagine the excitement in your classroom.

Thank you for the input! I’m sorry you feel that way. I do set high expectations that are not unreasonable for you to reach. Being able to keep up with daily homework and showing work does teach you self-discipline and the ability to set goals and epectations for yourself as well!
Besides, I want to see you move on to the 6th grade!!!
